How does snow guarantee work in Sälen?

A snow guarantee is a ski resort’s promise of skiable conditions even if the winter is mild. In practice, it defines a period during which a minimum number of slopes and lifts must be open at the destination you have booked. For Sälen, the guarantee applies through SkiStar, which operates Lindvallen, Högfjället, Tandådalen and Hundfjället. If the conditions are not met, you are entitled to rebook your stay, move it to another SkiStar destination where the requirements are met, or cancel free of charge, usually provided you do so a few days before arrival.
