Hundfjället and Lindvallen are located on either side of the mountain ridge in Sälen. Although the distance “as the crow flies” is just over a mile, the road follows the main ploughed track via Högfjället. The mileage will therefore be approximately 18-22 kilometres, which corresponds to 20-30 minutes under normal winter conditions. In the event of snowfall, slippery conditions or peak traffic, it may take slightly longer, especially on changeover days and at weekends.
Car, ski bus or combination
There is no continuous lift or ski connection between Hundfjället/Tandådalen and Lindvallen/Högfjället, so travelling is convenient by car or ski bus. The free ski bus (included with valid SkiPass) runs several times a day and stops close to the lifts and squares. The journey time is then usually 35-45 minutes depending on the route, stop and possible transfers. It's a convenient option for those who don't want to drive, especially if you live near a bus stop in one of the systems.
Tips for smooth transport
