What is in Hundfjället?

Hundfjället is one of Sälen's cosiest areas with a clear family profile. Here you'll find Trollskogen - Sälen's most beloved children's adventure - as well as children's and beginner slopes, several blue and red runs, modern lift capacity, ski hire, ski school, restaurants and cafés. The area is connected to Tandådalen, so you can easily vary the skiing during the same day even for more advanced skiers.

Skiing in Hundfjället

Hundfjället is located in the western part of Sälen and offers a cosy mountain village feeling where most things can be reached on foot or on skis. Trollskogen - the kids' favourite

Iconic Trollskogen is the heart of Hundfjället - a fairytale trail on skis filled with wooden figures, sounds and surprises. It's designed to make first turns fun and safe, and can also be visited as a walk during the barefoot season. For many children, this is the highlight of the trip and a must on every Sälen journey.

Family friendly & flexible

The ski school has well-adapted groups and also private lessons for faster development. Accommodation is close to the slopes, often with ski in/ski out, making morning logistics easy - especially with young children. For more accommodation tips, see accommodation in Sälen.
