A conference at Sälen with us means you rent the whole house: the meeting space, the kitchen, the sauna and the bedrooms are all yours from check-in to check-out, with no other guests. Each house accommodates 8–24 people; Sälengodset, Fjällgodset and Winebunker, situated on the same plot, can accommodate 51 guests and provide an event venue for 50 – conference accommodation for 30–50 people. We do not sell full-board packages: you book the house with us, and arrange the chef, catering and activities directly with our partners, who will provide a quote based on the number of participants. This makes the arrangement more cost-effective than a conference hotel for most groups of over ten people and gives you full control over the programme. How a conference works with us
1. Choose a house
A house for 8–24 guests with a dining table that seats everyone, or three houses next to one another for up to 51 guests, with their own function room. Single rooms for everyone: Sälengodset accommodates up to 9 people, Fjällgodset 10 and Gattarstugan 11.
2. Book the period
Short stay: Sunday–Thursday, weekend: Thursday–Sunday, or a full week. The booking fee is 20 per cent, payable within five days; the balance is due no later than 60 days before arrival.
3. Food and activities
A chef in the kitchen or catering delivered to your door, and activities such as snowmobile safaris, dog sledding and guided walks. We put you in touch with the providers; you arrange the price directly with them.
4. Meeting techniques
Wi-Fi is available in the buildings, and there are large TV screens for presentations. You’ll need to bring your own projector, whiteboard and conference phone, or hire them through one of our partners.
Our conference centres
Sälengodset and Fjällgodset are situated next to each other at Gamla Sälfjällstangen, accommodating 21 and 22 guests respectively, with indoor and outdoor saunas and hot tubs. Olarslodgen, next to Sälfjällstorget, sleeps 21 across three floors, ideal for group work, whilst Gattarstugan in Tandådalen sleeps 24. For management teams of 8–15 people, The Skiers Lodge, Villa Åsstigen and Stenlodgen are suitable. All houses include a meeting area, beds and price: conference accommodation in Sälen.
Price and structure
Sälengodset for 21 people costs 25,500 SEK for a short week in the low season and 40,500 SEK in winter; weekends cost 27,500 and 62,500 SEK respectively. Team-building and workshops
Snowmobile safaris from Högfjället, dog sledding, snowshoe walks, guided walks, Bike Park and outdoor cooking – twelve activities, with details of the season and price: team building in Sälen.
A workshop works best over two days: an introduction and setting of objectives, two working sessions with a break, a team activity in a mountain setting and dinner prepared by the chef on the first day, followed by in-depth discussion and an action plan on the second. If any participants are joining remotely, there is Wi-Fi and large screens in the buildings – check the connection in advance and schedule the hybrid sessions for the morning. Can I book a conference at weekends?
Yes, we offer conference facilities every day of the week. Weekend conferences are popular, especially for events that combine work with team building and activities. Contact us for availability and customised proposals.
What technical equipment is available?
The venues have Wi-Fi and large TV screens for presentations. Please bring your own projector, whiteboard and additional screens – we can recommend local hire companies. If you have any specific technical requirements, please contact us in advance.
How do meals work during the conference?
We offer several options with our partners: catering with delivery to the accommodation and serving, private chef cooking on site, or pre-packaged meals in the fridge. All meals are customised according to your wishes and any special dietary requirements.
