The houses
Spa in Sälen – at home or at a leisure centre
‘Spa’ in Sälen means two things: a private spa in the house, which you have to yourselves round the clock, or a day at the spa centre. Five of our houses have both a sauna and a hot tub: Sälengodset and Fjällgodset with indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a relaxation area and a sauna; Gattarstugan with a wood-fired sauna and an outdoor hot tub; Stenlodgen with an outdoor hot tub and sauna, and Winebunker with a relaxation building, sauna and outdoor hot tub. Olarslodgen, Villa Åsstigen and Skiers Lodge have saunas. Use of the spa facilities is included in the rent with no need to book in advance. If you’d prefer to swim at a leisure centre, Experium and Lindvallen feature an adventure pool and spa, five to ten minutes’ drive from the cottages – see below.
How to choose a spa cottage
- Sauna type and size: wood-fired sauna in Gattarstugan, electric sauna in the others; ask how many people it can accommodate.
- Indoor or outdoor hot tubs: The Sälengodset and Fjällgodset both have outdoor pools, as do the Gattarstugan, Stenlodgen and Winebunker – an outdoor bath in the snow is the highlight of winter, whilst an indoor bath is used more often.
- Relaxation area: The Sälengodset, Fjällgodset, Gattarstugan and Winebunker have a separate relaxation area where you can cool down.
- Location: Stenlodgen at Sälfjällstorget, next to Olarslodgen at Sälfjällstorget; Gattarstugan, approximately one kilometre from the nearest ski lift at Tandådalen; Sälengodset and Fjällgodset at Gamla Sälfjällstangen, overlooking Högfjällsbacken.
- Group size: 15 (Stenlodgen), 21 (Sälengodset), 22 (Fjällgodset) or 24 (Gattarstugan) guests.
- What’s included: Bed linen, towels, final cleaning and use of the spa facilities are included; made-up beds and extra towels for the spa are optional.

Day spa in Sälen – Experium
Experium, at Experium Square in Lindvallen, features a water park, a spa with hot tubs and saunas, indoor surfing and bowling. During the winter of 2026/27, the water park and spa will be open daily from 09.00 to 19.30 from 21 December; prior to that, on Thursdays from 12.00 to 19.30 and Friday to Sunday from 09.00 to 19.30. The water park and spa must be booked in advance at skistar.com. It is a five to ten-minute drive from our houses. All about the facility: Experium i Sälen.

Yes. The spa is part of the hotel and is included in the price, with no need to book a time slot.
Can we book a spa weekend in Sälen?
Yes, the cottages are booked for weekends (Thursday–Sunday) or short weeks (Sunday–Thursday), whilst for Christmas, New Year, the winter half-term and Vasaloppet week, specific arrival dates and lengths of stay apply – please see the booking calendar on the cottages’ page.
How many people can a house with a spa accommodate?
15–24 guests, depending on the property. The whole house is hired by one group, so the spa area is for your exclusive use.
